Guides Open GigaJSON

Last updated 8 October 2026

GigaJSON is a browser workspace for inspecting JSON files that are awkward to explore in a text editor.

What we build

Open a document, find the record you need, switch to a table or query, and compare an edit with an earlier version. The workspace saves documents in your browser. Single-purpose tool pages use temporary documents. Neither uploads your document to our servers.

GigaJSON is maintained by the publisher of this website. The guides under the GigaJSON byline are our own explanations of the product. We disclose our role in comparison articles; they are not independent reviews.

How we test and write

Examples use synthetic data. We run commands and queries before publishing them, capture screenshots from the working app, and state limits beside performance claims. The benchmark page includes archived results, fixture scripts and the gaps in those measurements.

A visible update date means the article's content changed. A new date alone is not a new performance test. If we correct an example or a claim, the new text should explain the behavior you can reproduce.

Contact and corrections

For a bug, a question or a correction, email contact@gigajson.com. Include your browser version and a small synthetic example when possible. Do not send private customer data or access tokens.
